As a singer songwriter, electric/acoustic bassist and producer, Rob Fried has performed at clubs and music festivals with renowned artists including Randy Brecker, Marion Meadows, Chris Parker and Joe Beck, and in opening acts for Manhattan Transfer, Little Feat, Tower Of Power, BB King, and YES.
Rob describes playing live: “When I see how people respond as I play jazz, rock and funk, it is a powerful thing. When people get up to dance, are smiling and the euphoria happens, it is almost like the audience becomes another member of the band. I try to feel what they are feeling and then take it higher. That is definitely a big part of the joy of being a musician.”
Rob Fried has produced two original albums and numerous singles. His first album, Wind Song, was completed in 2007 with accolades and acclaim from fans and music industry press. His Water Rhapsody project was released in 2009.

While the full length albums are jazz oriented reflecting his interest in world music and chord scale improvisation, Rob's more recent singles reflect his progressive Americana roots in a style is vocal oriented, multi-textured and includes myriad of influences. Rob started playing guitar at age 8 and bass at age 15. After a university education and a career in the asset management business, Rob turned his focus to being creative with music and contributing to the wellbeing of his community and the world.
